There is a quiet rhythm to life out at Atticus Health in Jindivick. On a crisp morning, fog still hangs low over the rolling green paddocks, the local cows chew peacefully across the fence, and the rich smell of fresh coffee drifts over from the cafe right next door.
Plenty of local neighbours have made a habit of pairing their morning flat white with a quick check-in at the clinic. They walk through the doors to meet familiar, warm eyes.
Watching the team here, Dr Juliana, Dr Rashmi, or Leonie keeping the front desk grounded with her easy smile, you quickly realise why people feel comfortable laying their worries down. Science tells us that healthcare works best when it’s unhurried. When stress levels drop and people feel genuinely safe with their care team, honest conversations happen, symptoms are caught earlier, and real healing takes place.
Dr Juliana, Dr Rashmi, Leonie, and all the doctors at Jindivick operate as a true unit. There are just a creative crew who lean on one another and take the time to figure things out together.
If a health worry has been quietly sitting on the back burner, there's no need to handle it alone. Grab a warm drink from next door, watch the cows for a minute, and pop in for a low-pressure chat with the Jindivick team. The doors are always open.

There’s something delightfully silly about wearing a paper Christmas crown on a freezing July afternoon while passing a gravy boat across a busy lunch table.
We recently gathered the team at Nucleus in Highett for a bit of Xmas in July, complete with a warm roast, festive jumpers, and plenty of banter. From where I sit as a GP, true team spirit is built in moments like this, when a group of people who spend their days carrying real responsibilities for others take a moment to sit down, share a laugh, and check in on one another.
When a crew genuinely has each other’s backs, that quiet trust and kindness overflows into everything we do. It’s what makes our clinics and care teams feel like human places to be, rather than cold clinical assembly lines.
Here’s a small look at our Nucleus team sharing a mid-winter feast. If you’re popping by the clinic this week, don't mind the lingering tinsel, the warmth is here all year round.

You know that envelope sitting under a magnet on the fridge door? The one with the bowel test inside, or the reminder for a cervical screening or mammogram that’s been gathering dust on the bench. You look at it every time you wait for the kettle to boil, sigh, and think, I’ll sort that out next week.
You’re in good company. Plenty of our neighbours push those letters to the back of the drawer because the whole thing feels awkward, uncomfortable, or just plain clinical.
From where I sit in the clinic, my observation over the years is simple... Screening isn't looking for bad news. Bowel, breast, and cervical checks pick up tiny, quiet changes long before you ever feel a single symptom, back when dealing with them is straightforward, gentle, and easily managed.
Our team completely gets the hesitation. That’s why our doctors and nurses take the time to make these checks as warm, discrete, and fuss-free as possible. Whether you need a hand understanding a home bowel kit, want to arrange a breast check, or just need a familiar, kind face to walk you through a quick cervical screen, we’ve got your back.
If that letter is still sitting on your kitchen bench, don't beat yourself up. Pop in for a checkup with us at Atticus Health, and let's get it sorted together.
