HESTA Awards – Atticus Health’s Proud Achievement

Atticus Health has proudly been awarded a finalist for the 2016 HESTA Aged Care awards.

The awards ceremony recognise aged care professionals who work tirelessly to improve the quality of life of ageing Australians in their homes, retirement villages and aged care facilities.

There were three award categories in all, designed to cover the wide range of professions and skills exhibited, for Australia’s aged care professionals and providers.

Atticus Health achieved within the ‘Outstanding Organisation Finalists’ category for ” Pioneer(ing) a mobile emergency department on-call program that provides 24/7 help to residential aged care facilities and is increasing standards of medical care while respecting the wishes of residents and reducing hospital admissions”. This program, as featured in this fortnightly newsletter as well, is called MEDOC (Mobile Emergency Department On – Call Services) which we are very excited to be rolling out to Aged Care Facilities in the area.

It was a great honour to receive the awards and we’ll continue to strive towards excellence in healthcare.
